Would doing a few set sof heavy squats before a workout help increase the gains from the workout?

Example:
If I were to do 3 sets of heavy squats before a chest-tricep or a back-bicep workout, would this help increase the effectiveness/the gains I get from doing this workout?
Thanks,
Matt

Yes, most likely. Squats fuel the entire body with increased levels of testosterone (also in females). This helps to build muscle. My trainer once suggested doing a full leg routine at least twice a week, normally on off days.
The short answer to your question is yes, try it by all means.
Squats form the basis of my workouts, heavy regular squats on Mon and Fri, lighter front squats on Wed. You’ll want to make sure the majority of your workouts are based around other compound movements as well. This way you will see the best overall strength/mass gains.
