What kind of cardio is good for an asthmatic?

I’m 19 and I want to lose some weight for a trip I’m going on in 7 weeks. I have a treadmill but I have to be careful about my asthma. I have been doing exersizes like lunges and crunches and even some pilates tapes but I know that if I don’t bring some cardio into my workout it will be all for nothing. What kind of cardio can I do that is low impact so it won’t cause an asthma attack but will also burn fat?

    Swimming is good. Also, because you have to hold your breath, it is good for increasing your lung capacity.
