I have found that a low level of weight training is best. Do an incline start with about 10 pounds and do as many as you can. When you fill that you have done as many as you can try to do about five more.

    Walking, a little running. Stretches.

Shouldn’t a doctor tell you what to do now?

If your not receiving therapy get your DR. to refer you. on your own you may do more harm than good.If the fracture was simple, not compound you shouldn’t suffer much atrophy. You’ll only be in cast for 6-8 weeks, If you’ve experienced healing probs. like slow or uneven regrowth along the break or any spurring you’ll need pro. help.

I broke mine in 2 places. I didn’t do much more than just walking and standing. I did see a therapist and they gave me a long piece of rubber that I put at the bottom of my foot and pulled while pushing out with my foot. It helped motion in my ankle. I don’t experience any problems and can run, squat like a baseball catcher does, walk, and jump.
