What good ways of training leg muscle (age 12) ? For soccer/football?

I have 2 x 4LB weight, is there any good way of training it?

    Don’t worry about weight training right now. You’re a bit young and your body won’t respond well. You could easily get injured, so avoid it. The best way to train leg muscles for those sports is by playing those sports a lot.

    Play every day, practice with friends or yourself and do a lot of running. Skip the weights.

    Forget the weights your too young, running up stairs and hills is the best way to improve strength, speed and agility as well as build muscle. Also learn correct stretching techniques as this helps broaden the muscle.

    You are a bit young for weights. Try lunge-walking, step-ups, burpees and tuck jumps. If you live near the beach or have access to a pool you could try some underwater kicking drills also. Make sure you warm up and stretch before and after.
