leg training question?

i have a broken hand that prevents me for lifting upper body lifts like bench etc. A friend told me that leg training especially squats will grow my whole body not just my legs. Is this true, or is he just trying to make me feel good?

    Well.. he is right, and he is wrong….

    Squats target your Quads, Hamstrings, abs, obliques, calves… so in that part he is right.

    Unfortunately, it is not going to work out your biceps/triceps/forearm muscles.

    However, it is good to do exercises even though you have a broken hand to keep your cardio and the other muscles ready for when your cast comes off :)
