		<description>If you are going to be using a fairly heavy amount of weight it is a very good idea to wear a belt. If your talking about getting serious with squats you need a good thick lifting belt, not a cheap thin leather one. Wearing a belt with your warm-up weights isn&#039;t neccesary but once you get into your working sets, wear one all the time.</description>

		<description>Some argue that it is necessary while others argue that wearing one is actually a bad idea. I don&#039;t wear one when doing squats but I dont usually try to squat a huge amount of weight (usually around 225-235 pounds) so if you are using a lot of weight you might want to look into using one.</description>
