Is it bad to do squats during pregnancy?

When I say squats, I mean without weight. I mean just leaning against the wall in a sitting position. I’m not sure where I heard this, but I heard they’re ok during the first trimester but not during the second and third.

Well I havent heard it being bad during pregnancy. My physical therapist actually had me doing mini squats for my back it helped a lot. Keeps the sciatic pain away
Ask your doctor when you go for your next visit.
Definately double check with your doctor but in general as long as your cervix is not opening up on you then you should be fine with that. When close to delivery time women will be instructed to do squats becuase it will help the baby decend into the pelvis to put pressure on the cervix.
It’s not bad, but after the first trimester you wont be able to. Your center of balance will be way off and if you lean against the wall you will probably fall over!
If you’ve been doing them since before you were pregnant and continue afterwards, its ok. They say as long as you don’t start any new regiment, its ok. But maybe stay away from it at the end, I agree. It wouldn’t hurt to ask your doctor the next time you see him. Between now and then I don’t think it will do any harm, as long as its not a new thing for you.
actually that’s one of my Bradley class exercises…
well, not necessarily against a wall, but squatting down like you would to pick something up (you can hold onto a partner)
