I am training my legs butt. I used to do squats but now I love the leg press. Is one better than the other?

or perhaps the focus on different muscle groups? Please advise.

Actually, drop the leg press as it is redundant and continue with the squats and add some leg lifts in equal amount to the squats.
Right now you are messing up your symetry.
The squats tighten up your glutes and compress your quads to make them bulky looking. Guess what? The leg press does the same thing only not as well.
By adjusting you stance moving your legs closer together or apart you can you can work you quads and glute even better.
However, you need the leg lifts to start working your hamstrings or you are going to start feeling them real soon. You need keep your opposing muscles in balance or your hamstrings will knot up and you will get charie horses like crazy. Plus you will get really fat thighs with all inthe front and nothing in the back to support you glutes. Believe me, I found this out the painful way, one leg cramp at a time. Keep yourself in balance, and do some aerobic exercises to tear down some of what you are building up. You will get quicker and stronger this way, and your definition will form naturally.
Good Luck.
