How many minutes should you do interval training on a bike for?

I already have a routine for it but how long should I be doing it for. Someone told me the 25 minutes I’ve been doing it for is too long, so how long should it be. Also how many days a week should I not workout and just let my body rest? Is just one day ok because I feel like crap if I don’t workout.

For optimum conditioning, a workout should last 20 to 30 minutes with at least a 20% increase in heart rate. Every other day is best, as it gives the body time to recover fully…. so, three to four times a week.
