Does anyone know how I can do an interval training program myself on my bike?

I love to ride my road bike (not a stationary bike), but I’d like to get a much better workout of it using interval training. Anyone know how to do that with a road bike? I’d love some input on how to change my bike ride to be an intervals workout. I currently ride about 5 miles; there are three big hills but the rest is flat or downhill.

sounds like yu know what to do already.
first warm up on the flats, then do a hill, then go back to flats etc
just make sure you have at least five minutes to rest between
Can you not ride from the opposite direction, so most of the ride will be uphill? You can also try standing up whilst riding, this is hard work to keep going. Also try changing the gears for added resistance. HTH : )
