i love squats, they are to legs what the bench press is to upper body - a true test of strength. it makes me laugh when i see guys in the gym who are big on top but obviously dont work their legs enough. by the way, 4-6 rep range is for powerlifting not for building muscle! you need to be lifting that weight 8 times at 85% max to get size and strength.

I like legs days because i feel very much relieved that day not much strength to go to upperbody.

I do 3-4 set squat,3-4 leg press,3-4 exte,6-7 leg curl laying and sitting,5-6 standing and sitting calf raise

Do deads on the back day and you dont need to do it every week.I trained with couple of amateur bodybuilders like for 3-4 days and they said dont do deadlifts every week. Its bad for your body too much overload since deads work your whole body.Do it like 2 times/month or so.

It's brutally painful man, but that is the reason that i love it so much. And hell as long as I'm improving in an exercise on a regular basis, i cannot wait to do it.

dude on the bottom - by the way 8 reps at 85% is almost impossible. And if you can do that you have a lot of slow twitch muscle fibers, not exactly something to be proud of...

Not particularly. However I realize how important legs are to your overall body's health and appearance. I'd have to have a big upper body and these tiny chicken legs. Squats work every muscle in your legs and is one of the most important lifts if done correctly. Plus, if you run, swim, or do any exercise really... You'll want to exercise your legs. Powerful legs can do a lot in the long run. For example, I run, swim, and dance (ballroom). I like having strong legs (even though mine are a bit weak right now but I'm working on it right now) so I can do those activities more effectively.

leg training is grueling! They are such huge muscle groups that they suck a lot of energy out of you an leave you feeling beat by the end. The good news is that by training legs, the rest of your body can get stronger. If you are plateaued on bench try kicking up the legs and you may be surprised. There's a scientific explanation for this but it's not coming to mind right now.
