Although it would definitely strengthen the legs, it's inappropriate contact between a man and a young teen girl (or boy). I would check the guy out and tell him it's not cool, but don't go accusing him unless you have proof. That's just evil.

well of course it would increase leg strength but it is not the most efficent way and it is kind of creepy in my opinion. DO NOT let him do this it is VERY unproffesional and it needs to stop. suggest some different conditioning methodes like lunges or frog jumps, candle stik jumps. squates, and so on. if he does not listen to u thne report him.

It sounds like the coach is just lazy.....lol. That sounds really dumb. I don't think it helps with leg strength - it's probably damaging to the back and neck. Tell the coach you don't agree and tell him he should bring in normal techniques like ankle weights and running...

Yes. It's the same for fat people. There legs are really strong from the extra weight. This coach is a genius. No it's not safe though. Get weight vest, and ankle weights. And for the really hardcore flip tires up and down ditches.

While this may indeed increase leg strength, I doubt that it is the most efficient method, and may very well risk a back injury. The coach should know better, and as a parent I would voice my concerns. To be honest, it sounds a little creepy for a grown man to have 13 year-old girls giving him piggy-back rides.
